Alcohol Consumption Policy and Legal Agreement

Nantucket Whale Inn encourages responsible alcohol consumption and may refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated or who engages in disruptive or unsafe behavior. If necessary, we may ask an individual to leave the premises or contact law enforcement. Guests accept full personal responsibility for their conduct and for any consequences that occur as a result of consuming alcohol, including any damages, injuries, or accidents. Guests are prohibited from operating a vehicle, machinery, or engaging in activities requiring coordination or concentration after consuming alcohol. We encourage the use of taxis, rideshare services, or alternative transportation, although Nantucket Whale Inn does not provide transportation and assumes no responsibility for travel arrangements.

Outside alcohol may not be brought onto the premises without prior written approval. Any unauthorized alcohol may be confiscated, and violation of this policy may result in removal from the premises and potential legal action. Guests with known medical conditions, those taking medication that interacts with alcohol, or those who are pregnant should not consume alcoholic beverages. This agreement is governed by California law, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Mateo County, California. The inn may update this policy at any time, with changes effective immediately upon posting.
