Failure to comply with house rules may result in additional fees or early termination of the stay without refund.

Alcohol Consumption Policy and Legal Agreement
By purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages at Nantucket Whale Inn, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below. Alcoholic beverages are served only to individuals who are 21 years of age or older, in accordance with federal and state laws. Guests must present valid government-issued identification upon request. If a guest cannot provide acceptable proof of age, service will be refused.
Nantucket Whale Inn encourages responsible alcohol consumption and may refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated or who engages in disruptive or unsafe behavior. If necessary, we may ask an individual to leave the premises or contact law enforcement. Guests accept full personal responsibility for their conduct and for any consequences that occur as a result of consuming alcohol, including any damages, injuries, or accidents. Nantucket Whale Inn is not liable for any incidents or losses resulting from alcohol consumption by any guest or their invitees.
Guests are prohibited from operating a vehicle, machinery, or engaging in activities requiring coordination or concentration after consuming alcohol. We encourage the use of taxis, rideshare services, or alternative transportation, although Nantucket Whale Inn does not provide transportation and assumes no responsibility for travel arrangements.
Outside alcohol may not be brought onto the premises without prior written approval. Any unauthorized alcohol may be confiscated, and violation of this policy may result in removal from the premises and potential legal action. Guests with known medical conditions, those taking medication that interacts with alcohol, or those who are pregnant should not consume alcoholic beverages. Nantucket Whale Inn is not liable for health complications related to alcohol consumption.
Alcohol service may be delayed, restricted, or suspended due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, public health issues, or government regulations. By consuming alcohol at Nantucket Whale Inn, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the inn, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your consumption of alcohol or conduct while under its influence.
All alcohol service is governed by applicable federal, state, and local laws, and Nantucket Whale Inn reserves the right to enforce these laws. This agreement is governed by California law, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Mateo County, California. The inn may update this policy at any time, with changes effective immediately upon posting.
